RCMPshield_crest2On June 6, while on scene at the Quesnel Court House, RCMP members intervened on an assault that took place in front of the Billy Barker Casino. David Raymond Couture was arrested for assault after an altercation with a local news reporter shortly after 9:00am Tuesday morning.

Couture was in Quesnel for court on another unrelated matter when the altercation took place. Couture has now been charged with Assault, contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code, and is currently in custody pending his next court appearance on June 15, 2010.
