Counterfeit $50 bills hit Quesnel businesses

Quesnel RCMP are investigating two reports of counterfeit US $50 bills being passed from May 28 - 31. Two West Park Mall businesses were victimized. The serial numbers on the two bills were consecutive with only the last numbers being different.
Quesnel RCMP are asking for help in the identification of any suspects. If anyone has seen anything suspicious or heard anything regarding the counterfeit money being used, please contact the Quesnel RCMP at (250) 992-9211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Quesnel merchants are also warned to scrutinize larger bills being used as payment with particular emphasis on US 50's.
