Suspicious residential fire sends one to hospital

At 3:03am on January 7, 2011, Prince George Fire / Rescue as well as the BC Ambulance Service and the Prince George RCMP were called to a residential fire on Merritt Road in Prince George, BC.
An 85 year old man was located in the residence and transported to the University Hospital of Northern BC with serious injuries.
This fire is believed to be suspicious in nature. A 49 year old man associated to the residence is in custody. The Prince George RCMP's Serious Crime Unit has been called in and is investigating.
